Burn the Floor Extends on Broadway Through January 2010

Burn the Floor, the international dance sensation, is extending its Broadway run. The show, which was originally set to play the Longacre Theatre through October 18, will now run through January 3, 2010

Directed and choreographed by Jason Gilkison, Burn the Floor features award-winning ballroom dancers from Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Russia, Australia, Sweden, the Philippines and the United States. The show presents ballroom dancing with a sexy 21st-century edge, with numbers that feature jive, paso doble, foxtrot, tango, samba, mambo, quickstep, swing, waltz, cha-cha, rumba, salsa and more.

So You Think You Can Dance favorites Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev will join the cast on August 18, replacing current featured pair Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff, who are set to depart on August 16 for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.
